Even a minor traffic ticket is worth fighting.  Most prosecutors will attempt to negotiate a citation by offering to reduce your citation to a different violation that carries fewer points, by reducing the fine, or both.

If you do not fight a citation, you will be found guilty by default and the points will be added to your driving record.  You may accumulate twelve points in a twelve-month period from the violation date (not conviction date) before you lose your driver’s license.  Moreover, when you accumulate points, your insurance costs can rise dramatically.

We will assist you in fighting your traffic citation.  If you have been cited for one of these offenses, give us a call:

  • Speeding
  • Driving Too Fast For Conditions
  • Inattentive Driving
  • Unsafe Lane Change
  • Failure to Stop/Improper Stop at Stop Sign
  • Driving on a Suspended License
  • Driving on a Revoked License
  • Reckless Driving
  • Failure to Stop for Emergency Vehicles
  • Failure to Yield
  • School Zone and Work Zone Violations
  • Violation of a Weight Restriction
  • Bicycle violations

Probationary License

If you hold a probationary license, instruction permit, or no license when the conviction is entered on the record, your points will be doubled for any second and subsequent violation unless the conviction is for a vehicle equipment violation.  Frequently, a second violation will mean you will lose your driver’s license.

If you hold a probationary license, instruction permit, or do not have a license, it is that much more important that you call us the first time.
